Toryn Reed has a decade of experience working as a makeup artist. In 2005 she began working at a salon doing makeup for weddings and events. After high school, she attended California State University, Chico, where she worked as the theater department’s Makeup Supervisor designing makeup for productions and teaching makeup workshops to actors. She graduated in 2011 with a BA in Psychology, and moved to Vancouver, Canada to attend Vancouver Film School’s Makeup Design for Film and Television program. There she was awarded the Makeup Design Achievement Award for being top of her class, and graduated with honors. While living in Vancouver, Toryn interned at Masters FX where she further honed her makeup FX techniques. In 2011 she moved to Los Angeles, and was quickly hired at Masters FX in Los Angeles to work doing makeup FX for TV shows and feature films such as True Blood, and The Human Centipede 3. Toryn is currently a freelance makeup artist and specializes in makeup and FX for film and television.
